PBS's "American Experience" examines the details of the infamous My Lai massacre of 1968, in which the U.S. Army's Charlie Company killed nearly 500 unarmed villagers, mainly women, children, and the elderly, making it one of the most tragic episodes not only of the Vietnam War but of U.S. military history. Questions surrounding the soldiers' individual responsibility for their actions are explored, as well as the blurring of lines between Vietnamese civilians and soldiers. 90 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English.
