Ourteen young women demonstrate if they have what it takes to make it in the high-stress world of modeling in the 18th cycle of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL. The top prize: a contract with LA Models and NY Model Management, a fashion spread in Vogue Italia, cover and spread in Beauty in Vogue, a $100,000 deal with CoverGirl cosmetics, a guest correspondent placement with Extra, and more. Cycle 18, also known as "The British Invasion" features seven former contestants of "Britain's Next Top Model" competing against seven all-new American models. Taking place predominantly in-and-around Los Angeles, with international trips to Toronto, Macau and Hong Kong, the aspiring models are tasked in a variety of fashion, social and business challenges. Among the tasks, contestants must pose as toddlers, participate in a photo shoot covered with maple syrup and leaves, and model silk gowns accessorized with silkworms.
