Edged out of the department chair he coveted, misanthropic Harvard philosophy professor Jack Griffin (Glenn Howerton) packed up and went home to Toledo, where he took over a high school class for advanced placement biology. However, he doesn’t so much inspire his kids as to use them to further his own squabbles with the world, when he’s not making life miserable for his pushover principal (Patton Oswalt) and fellow faculty. Edgy NBC sitcom co-stars Jacob McCarthy, Aparna Brielle, Nick Peine.
