Substituting an exotic rainforest in Argentina for a dusty frontier ghost town, this western-style drama finds a family of farmers seeking the help of a mysterious stranger (Gael García Bernal) in rescuing them from the bandits who torched their property and kidnapped the owner's daughter (Alice Braga).
