As the Vietnam War slowly draws to a close, P.O.W. Col. James Cooper (David Carradine) is offered freedom in exchange for helping prison camp commander Capt. Vinh (Mako) get to the U.S. Cooper initially refuses, but ultimately agrees on the condition that all of his fellow prisoners come along.
