Ted Danson starred in this 1998-2004 CBS sitcom as Dr. John Becker, a Bronx general practitioner whose non-existent bedside manner and abrasive, sarcastic demeanor masked deep-down dedication to his patients. Putting up with Becker on a daily basis were model-turned-diner-owner Reggie (Terry Farrell), blind newsstand man Jake (Alex Desert), and his nurses--no-nonsense Margaret (Hattie Winston) and bubble-brained Linda (Shawnee Smith).
