Races are often decided by fractions of seconds, so attention to every detail is imperative. In this DVD, Tom Jager teaches the essential details of the freestyle stroke to a young swim team. He shares many important training tips and drills that will help swimmers of all levels. The topics covered in this program include: sculling, streamlining, kicking, head position, body position, arm position, breathing, and more. The Special Features section provides additional tips and advice for swimmers, parents, and coaches. About the coach: Tom Jager is one of the most decorated US Olympians of all-time. He earned seven Olympic medals (five of which were gold), and six-times broke the 50 meter freestyle world record. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and won NCAA individual national championships in the 100-yard freestyle (1983, 1984), the 50-yard freestyle (1984, 1985), and the 100-yard backstroke (1985). He was also an eleven-time United States national open champion. Tom Jager was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2001. In 2004, Jager became the head coach of the University of Idaho's Idaho Vandals women's swim team. Jager then accepted the head coaching position for the Washington State Cougars swim team from 2011-2018. In 2019, Tom and his wife Becky took over coaching duties at the Aspen Swim Club in Aspen, Colorado.
