Bernard Herrmann's classic soundtrack for the 1962 thriller with bonus tracks from The Man In The Gray Flannel Suit. Film starred Robert Mitchum & Gregory Peck. This release presents Bernard Herrmann's complete soundtrack to the original 1962 version of Cape Fear, Martin Balsam, and Polly Bergen. The film was initially storyboarded by Alfred Hitchcock (who was also supposed to direct it but quit over a dispute), and was subsequently directed by J. Lee Thompson. Martin Scorsese brilliantly remade the film in 1991, starring Robert DeNiro, but using the same (rearranged) Bernard Herrmann score.
