A Better Life

While Carlos (Demián Bichir) earns a decent living as a Los Angeles gardener, he lives in fear of deportation because of his status as an illegal immigrant. His struggle to avoid intersecting with the authorities only gets worse as his son (José Julián) begins to get involved with local gang members, but Carlos grows determined to save his son's future no matter what the cost.
