The Big Trees

Kirk Douglas is ruthless lumber baron Jim Fallon, who sets out to harvest a wealth of redwood trees in this remake of 1938's "Valley of the Giants." A dispute over land ensues when Fallon finds a quiet Quaker community residing in the California forest. However, after falling for one of the residents (Eve Miller), he eventually learns from his folly and sides with the town to battle against his cohorts. Edgar Buchanan co-stars. 89 min.
