Griffith directed over 400 one- and two-reel movies for the Biograph company, several with such future stars as Mary Pickford, and Lillian and Dorothy Gish. Twenty-three of these early works--including "Those Awful Hats," "The Mothering Heart," "A Corner in Wheat," "The Musketeers of Pig Alley," "The Battle of Elderbush Gulch," and "Enoch Arden"--are featured in this two-disc collection. 6 hrs. total.
