Black Mirrors: Forough Farrokhzad

Four years before her tragic death in 1967, Iranian poetess Forough Farrokhzad saw the release of her challenging and lyrical short documentary "The House Is Black" (1963), a bracing account of the suffering faced by the residents of an Iranian leper colony. Farrokhzad's sole directing effort is accompanied in this two-disc set by the three-part documentary made about the artist, "The Mirror of the Soul" (2000-2004).
