The International Film Foundation short "Pacific Island" (1949) looks at daily native activities on the Marshall Islands. Episodes from the '50s ABC travelogue show "Bold Journey" are spotlighted with "Caravan to Niling" (1957), as Dr. Michael Hagopian journeys to the Himalayas; and "Cartoon King in Africa" (1958), as cinematographer Miki Carter hosts a location visit during a "Tarzan" movie shoot. "Savage Flame" (1962) follows Christian missionaries and doctors as they minister to primitive tribes in the South American jungles. The Eastern Airlines travelogue "Viva Mexico: A Cultural Portrait" (1970) journeys from the Mayan ruins to contemporary Mexico City. 175 min. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English.
