In this 1951-53 television incarnation of the infamous rogue depicted in Jack Boyle's 1919 novel, Boston Blackie (Kent Taylor) is a criminal-turned-detective patrolling the streets of Los Angeles. Assisted by female friend Mary Wesley (Lois Collier) and a smart pup named Whitey, Blackie solves hard-boiled mysteries that baffle the police. Frank Orth co-stars as Inspector Faraday.
