The Bridge: Season 1

Each season of this gripping mystery series finds Swedish police detective Saga Norén (Sofia Helin) working with a Danish counterpart in order to solve a crime that involves jurisdictions on both sides of the Øresund Bridge, which connects Malmö and Copenhagen. Debuting in 2011, this Swedish/Danish production’s first two seasons co-starred Kim Bodnia as Danish cop Martin Rohde, with Thure Lindhardt replacing him as Henrik Sabroe beginning in season three. In the first season, a body found cut in half in the center of the Øresund Bridge brings Norén and Rohde together to work on the case. The investigation takes a bizarre turn when it’s discovered that the two halves are actually from different people.
