Stressed twentysomething Scott (Ben Platt) had it all mapped out--an imminent move to Paris, so he could write the great American novel. It all abruptly caved in with his father's sudden passing--and with his now having to take the familial lead seeing to the welfare of his schizophrenic sister Cindy (Lola Kirke).
