The Buster Keaton Collection: Volume 4 (Go West / College)
Go West (1925)
Tinhorn drifter Friendless (Buster Keaton) lucked into a ranch hand's job, and finally made a friend--a bovine named Brown Eyes. Once his boss ticketed her for the slaughterhouse, however, Friendless faced a railroad pursuit to free his cow companion--culminating with a cattle stampede through Los Angeles. With Kathleen Myers, Howard Truesdale. 69 min. Silent with music score. BW/Rtg: NR
College (1927)
University life is spoofed in this riotous Buster Keaton feature with him playing a bookish freshman who tries to woo a co-ed with an eye for athletes. His attempts to impress involve taking on a variety of demanding jobs, offering Keaton the opportunity to shine with his famously complex and physical approach to silent comedy. Anne Cornwall, Harold Goodwin co-star. 66 min. Silent with music score. BW/Rtg: NR
Standard; Soundtrack: music score; bonus short "Go West" (1923); 1958 audio recording of Keaton.
