Butterfly

Set in 1936 Spain shortly before that country's civil war, this expertly-told coming-of-age tale focuses on an 8-year-old boy named Mocho who befriends Don Gregorio, his elderly teacher. While the teacher offers important lessons about life, the arts and the opposite sex, the political climate becomes threatening, leading Gregorio to be named an enemy of the state because of his beliefs.
