Bandleader Kay Kyser stars as himself in this peppy musical that finds him putting his much-needed vacation on hold when his publicist convinces him to stage a concert for defense plant workers. But the problems are just beginning as Kay is stuck with replacing his departing singer with the plant owner's daughter. Will the show go off without a hitch?
