In this adaptation of Frank and Ernestine Gilbreths’ 1948 novel, Tom (Steve Martin) and Kate Baker (Bonnie Hunt) are the parents of 12 kids who move from their small Illinois town to a Chicago suburb after he gets a job coaching college football at his alma mater.
