CI5, the elite fighting-British squad formed by George Cowley in the 1970s, has now developed into an international force with operatives hired from around the world. With connections to the FBI, CIA and other law-enforcement agencies, CI5 operates outside borders with a group of specialists under a similar brief. Their world is a battlefield against terrorists, deadly hit-men, Neo Nazis, the mafia and diabolical masterminds intent on taking over the world. THE PROFESSIONALS was one of the '70s biggest hits on television thanks to it's gritty, realistic action, top production values, fast cars and terror-driven plots. The original producers updated the format in this revival which brought in audience favorite Edward Woodward (CALLAN, THE EQUALIZER) as the head of CI5 with an International team of hard-nosed, dedicated top operatives.
