This disturbing collection of shorts features provocative meditations on life's most morbid obsessions. "Le Poem" (1986) depicts a real autopsy, set to the reading of an Arthur Rimbaud poem; Olivier Smolders' "Adoration" (1999) shows what happens when a young man's deranged lusts get the better of him; Rozz Williams, late poet and leader of goth rock combo Christian Death, stars in Nico B.'s haunting debut "Pig" (1999), playing a murderer whose relationship with victim James Hollan crosses the lines of reality and fantasy; paying tribute to Kenneth Anger's book, "Hollywood Babylon" (2000) offers a quick but unsettling tour of the Museum of Death; and "Dislandia" (2005) follows a young girl as she acts out in bizarre, surrealistic ways. 83 min. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital stereo.
