This soundtrack features the talents of Grammy nominated multi-instrumentalist & composer Peter Kater & musician Bobby Horton, who is seeped in a love for jazz, folk and gospel music of the South. The music is patriotic and stately, juxtaposing somber incidental pieces with percussion heavy military-themed pieces, homespun banjo/harmonica tunes and several vocal pieces incorporating the uplifting voices of the Spirituals Project Choir. Apart from the film, the soundtrack does a wonderful job in immersing you in the drama and elegance of 19th century America.
