Two years before teaming up for "The Philadelphia Story," the four principals--Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, director George Cukor, and playwright Philip Barry--forged this classic romantic comedy. Hard-working, free-spirited Johnny Case (Grant) is all set to marry wealthy high-society girl Julia Seton (Doris Nolan). That is, until he meets her family and begins to wonder if sister-in-law-to-be Linda (Hepburn) might be a better match for him. Lew Ayres, Edward Everett Horton, Binnie Barnes, Henry Daniell co-star. 96 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono; Subtitles: English (SDH) bonus film "Holiday" (1930); featurette; image gallery; more.
