Freelance journalists Max (Nicholas Baroudi) and Harriet (Ellen Adair) headed up to rural Maine on reports of a horrific mauling that area authorities were swift to write off as a bear attack. As their own investigation indicates something beyond an ordinary bruin, a nervous community is attacked again...and the reporters might find to their everlasting regret that the story is coming to them.
