Nearly a decade after "Davy Crockett," Fess Parker donned a coonskin cap once more to play another early American hero--18th-century frontiersman and explorer Daniel Boone--in this 1964-70 NBC drama. Set in the Kentucky wilderness of the late 1700s, the series also starred Patricia Blair as Daniel's wife, Rebecca, and tomahawk whiz Ed Ames as their Indian ally, Mingo.

All 27 episodes from the third season--including "Dan'l Boone Shot a B'ar," "First in War, First in Peace," the two-part "The Williamsburg Cannon," "The Young Ones," and "The Fallow Land"--are collected in an eight-disc set. 22 hrs. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English.
