In 1942, the German undersea boat U-162 was prepping for its maiden voyage under the command of novice commander Klaus Hoffman (Rick Okon). The captain faced challenges from the insubordination of passed-over first watch officer Karl Tennstedt(August Wittgenstein) to the presence of last-minute assignee--and Resistance mole--radioman Frank Strasser (Leonard Schleicher). Sky series adapted from Lothar-Günther Buchheim’s novel and its sequel "Die Festung" co-stars Vicky Krieps, Lizzy Caplan.
