Day of Reckoning

Billed as "the true story of half a million lonely women," this gripping melodrama concerns Dorothy Day (Madge Evans), a woman who lives outside of her means. When Mr. Day (Richard Dix) is arrested for embezzling funds from his company in order to support Dorothy's lavish spending habits, he is thrown in jail and she begins a downward spiral from which there may be no return.
