Troublesome LAPD veteran James Knight (Bruce Willis) figured that having to pull a Fourth of July shift was a small price for reinstatement. It's not like he's going to miss any fireworks, courtesy of an unbalanced EMT (Jack Kilmer) who procures a cop's uniform, badge, and sidearm--and proceeds to use them in pursuit of a stunning and bloody agenda.
