Detective Montalbano: Episodes 25 & 26

Based on the novels by Andrea Camilleri, this Italian mystery series (called "Inspector Montalbano" in its home country) debuted in 1999. Luca Zingaretti stars as Salvo Montalbano, the head of the police department in the fictional Sicilian town of Vigàta, who tackles one baffling crime after another while confronting his own personal demons. Cesare Bocci, Peppino Mazotta, Angelo Russo also star.

Desperate to get to the bottom of a theft at a Mafia-controlled supermarket, Montalbano resorts to some unconventional tactics, in "A Voice in the Night." Then, in "A Ray of Light," Montalbano has his hands full dealing with a pair of robberies and an arms dealer, all of which may be linked to Tunisian refugees. 3 1/2 hrs. total.
