Detective Montalbano: Episodes 7-9

Based on the novels by Andrea Camilleri, this Italian mystery series (called "Inspector Montalbano" in its home country) debuted in 1999. Luca Zingaretti stars as Salvo Montalbano, the head of the police department in the fictional Sicilian town of Vigàta, who tackles one baffling crime after another while confronting his own personal demons. Cesare Bocci, Peppino Mazotta, Angelo Russo also star.

"The Sense of Touch" finds Montalbano looking at a supposedly charitable organization while investigating the murders of two blind men and a local fisherman. Then, a car crash may not have been an accident after all, in "Montalbano’s Croquettes." Finally, Montalbano must track down an investor who’s disappeared with his clients’ savings, in "The Scent of a Night." 5 hrs. total on three discs.
