A mere three years after the end of World War II, Czechoslovakian director Alfred Radok brought to the screen one of the earliest film treatments of the Holocaust. The story follows Dr. Hannah Kaufman (Blanka Waleská) and her family through the Nazi occupation of Prague, and their subsequent struggles to survive inside a concentration camp. Documentary footage is integrated with Expressionist drama to create this fully restored classic of Holocaust cinema. 98 min. Standard; Soundtrack: Czech mono; Subtitles: English. In Czech with English subtitles. Region Free
