Having just missed the cut for Great Britain’s 1984 Olympic downhill skiing team, Michael "Eddie" Edwards (Taron Egerton) decided to switch to ski jumping...for which he was--physically and experientially--way under-qualified. Aided by an eccentric trainer (Hugh Jackman), Eddie found himself his nation’s only eligible entrant to the 1988 Calgary Games...and on his way to an engaging infamy in sports history.
