Teenaged Los Angeles besties Dave Morgan (Sean Astin) and Stoney Brown (Pauly Shore) had been living a pretty typical existence as high school outcasts. That changed when the ice block they'd unearthed from Dave's backyard proved to contain a preserved young caveman (Brendan Fraser)--and, as he incredibly revived after thawing, their efforts to try and pass him off as just another kid made for comic calamity.
