Unable to convince their 35-year-old underachiever son Tripp (Matthew McConaughey) to leave the nest, his exasperated parents hire Paula (Sarah Jessica Parker), an expert in feigning connections with men long enough to foster their maturity and independence and move out of Mom and Dad's house.
