Old Chris Cringle (Mel Gibson) has a lot not to be jolly about these days--the government is poised to pull his subsidies unless he starts cranking out military hardware in the workshop, and one particularly ungrateful rich brat (Chance Hurstfield) made him the target of a hit man (Walton Goggins) over the coal in his stocking.
