Released from prison 30 years after he killed a young Catholic man on behalf of militants fighting the IRA, the Irish-Protestant Alistair Little (Liam Neeson) faces an uneasy, public reconciliation with his victim's brother (James Nesbitt), a witness to the murder. The men are invited to appear on a talk show where a repentant Alistair navigates an emotional confrontation the show's producers aim to fully exploit.
