After meeting ex-con Laura Nash (Karen Morley) at the biergarten where he works, Polakai (Wallace Beery), a kind-hearted German wrestler, falls for her charm. Laura pretends to love him in return, but she and her partner-in-crime have devised an elaborate scheme to rob the gentle giant. As the crooks focus on tricking Polakai, they fail to notice when he begins concocting a plan of his own.
