Big-screen adaptation of the hit Broadway musical stars Bert Lahr (re-creating his role in the play and making his feature film debut) as the hapless─and broke─inventor of an aerocopter who gets mixed up with a wacky waitress (Charlotte Greenwood) who's willing to pay $500 for a husband.
