The slapstick skills of Australian-born comic Billy Bevan are on display in this side-splitting collection of classic shorts. First, "Wall Street Blues" (1924) has Bevan starring as a bank custodian who accidentally foils a robbery. Andy Clyde co-stars. Then, in "Butter Fingers" (1925), he shines as a screwball pitcher who is told to throw a big game. In "Wandering Willies" (1926), Bevan and Clyde are a pair of hungry hoboes. "Whispering Whiskers" (1926) casts Bevan as a private eye searching for a ruby, and, lastly, he makes some waves when he joins "The Beach Club" (1928). 83 min. total.
