Six gripping made-for-TV espionage thrillers from the mind of "The Day of the Jackal" author Frederick Forsyth are presented in this three-disc set. The action begins with "A Casualty of War" (1989), as an SAS agent (David Threlfall) catches wind of a plot by Libyan strongman Qaddafi; a CIA agent's (Beau Bridges) holiday is interrupted by "Just Another Secret" (1989); a "Little Piece of Sunshine" (1990) finds a Scotland Yard inspector (Larry Lamb) on the case of an island governor who's been murdered; "Death Has a Bad Reputation" (1990), especially when it comes to infamous terrorist Carlos "the Jackal" (Tony Lo Bianco); Mike Farrell and Peter Egan star in "The Price of the Bride" (1990), the tale of a shady KGB defector; "Pride and Extreme Prejudice" (1990) hound an ex-agent (Brian Dennehy) both the Yanks and the Russians fear has gone rogue. 9 hrs. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English.
