Deliver to
In mid-14th century Florence, the arrival of a beautiful courtesan (Marga von Kierska) arouses the worries of the church, as well as the lusts of both the city’s ruler (Otto Mannstädt) and his son (Anders Wikmann). The fatal rivalry that erupts sinks the populace into decadence...and subject to a pestilence that might claim them all. Screenwriter Fritz Lang crafted a memorable take on Poe’s "The Masque of the Red Death" with "A Plague in Florence" (1919). Twelve-disc set also includes "The Spiders," "Harakiri," "The Wandering Shadow," "Four Around a Woman," "Destiny," " Dr. Mabuse the Gambler," "Die Nibelungen," "Metropolis," "Spies," and "Woman in the Moon." 27 hrs. total. Standard; Soundtrack: music score; featurettes; theatrical trailers; more. Silent with music score.
