When some rascals sabotage a dam construction project along the "Red River Valley" (1936), it's up to Gene Autry to ride in, set things right, and show he's the toughest hombre by a dam site. Smiley Burnette, Frances Grant, and Boothe Howard co-star. AKA: "Man of the Frontier." Gene joins his fellow ranchers in a rent protest and winds up running the land company, but has to deal with some crooks out to pocket the proceeds for themselves, in "Saddle Pals" (1947). With Sterling Holloway and Lynne Roberts. A series of raids sends Autry and sidekick Pat Buttram into "Apache Country" (1952) to find out who's stirring up trouble between settlers and Native Americans. Carolina Cotton co-stars. And "food hijackers get it in the old breadbasket," as Gene settles up with crooked shopkeepers who are gouging settlers for vital supplies, in "Pack Train" (1953). With Gail Davis and Kenne Duncan. 7 hrs. total on two discs. Standard; Soundtrack: English.
