Gigola

Director Laure Charpentier adapted this French gay crime drama from her own novel. Lou Doillon is Gigola, a young lesbian, who after tragedy strikes, dresses in drag and retreats into the 1960s underground cabaret scene in the Parisian district of Pigalle. She becomes a renowned prostitute/pimp, and frees a girl from a local mobster while falling for them both, which leads to an epic personal struggle in the criminal underworld.
