Gold Is Where You Find It

In post-Gold Rush California, mining engineer Jared Whitney (George Brent) arrives in Sacramento to oversee his employer's operations, but quickly finds a distraction in the pretty daughter (Olivia de Havilland) of a local wheat farmer (Claude Rains). The budding romance, though, might not survive a tension between two communities always poised to erupt in violence.
