The "Four Star Playhouse" episode "Second Dawn" (1954) concerns a blind man weighing surgery that might give him sight, but with no guarantee of its permanence. Charles Boyer stars. Private eye McGraw (Frank Lovejoy) finds his assignment nursemaiding a trouble-prone boxer hitting a mysterious snag. The "Four Star" episode "The Long Count" (1955) spun off Lovejoy's subsequent series "Meet McGraw." A woman (Maria Riva) wants to leave her sordid past behind, but her thug ex (Don Haggerty) is determined to pull her into a murder rap, in the "Stage 7" episode "End of the Line" (1955). Lastly, the "Stage 7" entry "The Hayfield" (1955) offers a sequel-of-sorts to "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House," as Jim Blandings (Macdonald Carey) has a fast-buck land deal blow up in his face. Phyllis Thaxter, Dick Foran also star. 102 min. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English. Plays All Regions.
