Having mistakenly swapped hats with the elderly stranger across the park bench, a man went home to have strange dreams of being Athanase Pernath (André Reybaz), a jeweler in the Prague ghetto of 30 years prior. His odd adventures with his sundry neighbors' toils bring him in the orbit of the community's fantastic animated clay guardian.
