Flashbacks provide insight into the disturbed childhood of prospective U.S. marshal Johnny Mack Brown, whose knees buckle when under fire, in "Branded a Coward" (1935). With Billie Seward and Syd Saylor. Ex-boxer Tom Tyler plays a fighter who retires for a life of ranching after he loses a fixed match, but puts the gloves back on when his boss gets involved with a crooked promoter, in "Rip Roarin' Buckaroo" (1936). Gene Autry and Smiley Burnette bring a herd of horses to the diamond fields of Africa, and Gene is framed on a charge of diamond smuggling, in "Round-Up Time in Texas" (1937). Finally, Roy Rogers goes against a mysterious destroyer of nature─who kills deer─in the Western adventure "Springtime in the Sierras" (1947). With Andy Devine, The Sons of the Pioneers, and Trigger. 3 1/2 hrs. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English.
