The Happy Road

When teenager Danny wants to prove his independence by fleeing his posh Swiss boarding school, his pop, American businessman Mike Andrews (Gene Kelly, who also directed and produced), has to go on a comic hunt across the French countryside. Thing is, Danny’s friend Janine (Brigitte Fossey) joined the escape and her single mom (Barbara Laage) is just as determined to get in on the quest.
