Widowed, no-nonsense construction worker Harry Keach (Paul Newman, who directed and co-wrote) was at his wits' end with his directionless repo man/wanna-be novelist son Howard (Robby Benson). When an on-the-job disaster costs Harry his job─and makes him confront his mortality─both generations have to weigh their relationship and choices. Moving drama co-stars Ellen Barkin, Morgan Freeman, Wilford Brimley, and Joanne Woodward. 120 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
